Introduction

This Department is responsible for the training of aspirants to Journalism and adjunt media services such as Public Relations and freelance writing. The training mode focuses more on the pracical aspect of Journalism for the electronic media.

The training is open to holders of Degree, Higher National Diplma (HND) and National Diploma (ND) from approved institutions.
The Department also caters for working journalists who desire to upgrade their knowledge and practise of the profession.

There are also specialised training workshops in Creative Writing and Investigative Reporting.

All programmes in the Department cover globally acclaimed courses comprising of teaching staff experienced professionals in Broadcast Journalism and Mass Communication.
